New Year‘s Day is one of important days for many people in the word during the year.Most people spend the New Year‘sDay in hotels.January 1st is considered as the New Year‘s Day.most companies,shops,school,and government offices are closed during that time.People prepare for New Year‘s Dayfrom late December.Firt,people spend a few days to clean their houses completely.Some families then put up some new painting from November to be sent in January.The New Year‘s meal is also prepared from the end of December.During the New Year‘s Day,people usually do not cook and relax at home. On New Year‘s Eve,it is common to have a bag dinner with family members or friends at home or in hotels and hear bells which informs us of the coming New Year.On New Year‘s Day,people fiest greet each other. Some people wear new coats and visit temples to pray for happiness and health theoughout the New Year.Children are busy with getting the gifts from their parents and relatives.
Nowadays many universities encourage and organize students to take part in social practice activities. During the holidays, more and more students choose to be the volunteers, take part-time jobs, or take part in other practical activities alike. It’s obvious that social practice is playing a more and more important role in China’s college education.
Undoubtedly, college students have benefited a lot from social practice. Above all, they are provided with more opportunities to contact the real world outside the campus. [4]Moreover, in social practice activities, students can apply their knowledge to the solution to the practical problems. So their practical skills are improved greatly. Besides, social practice helps strengthen students’ sense of social responsibility.
Considering the above-mentioned, I think, it is necessary for college students to participate in social practice. However, social practice may bring some problems. There are many activities in our school from October to December every year. The English Day is on October 19th.We must talk with our classmates in English at school. Our school trip is on October 28th.I can play with my classmates. It’s really interesting .On November 1st we have an art festival. The soccer game is on November 20th,and the basketball game is on December 2nd.

每一天上午第二节课下课我们都会觉得很开心，因为第二节课下课之后休息的时间长。
Every morning after the second class, we will feel very happy because of the long rest time after the second class.
第二节课大课间有半个小时，今天因为天气太热了，所以没有跑操，听说今天不用跑操，所有人的脸上都洋溢着笑容。下课之后，我们可以自由安排时间了，有的人，去操场上散步，有的人则在班级里面围坐在一起聊天，我呢，则是和朋友一起先去上个厕所，回到班级里面，我们坐在一起聊天，之后出去散步，不一会儿上课铃响了，我们只能回到班里上课去了。
There is half an hour between the second class. Its too hot today, so I didnt do running exercises. Its said that I dont need running exercises today. Everyones face is full of smiles. After class, we can arrange our time freely. Some people go for a walk on the playground, some people sit around in the class and chat together. For me, we go to the toilet first with friends and go back to the class. We sit together and chat, then go out for a walk. Soon the class bell rings. We can only go back to the class.

One afternoon last week, there was a social activity organized by our school that we researched DaWenKou relic culture. We went there on foot at 3:00 PM. After we arrived there, we looked at some old temple, tools for farming and living, which made us think how hard our ancestors lived then. From what we saw, we learned the old civilization in China, and knew their contribution to the development of country.

Personally, I thanks to our ancestors, its because of spirit of hard working that we Chinese pass on from generation from generation makes country become stronger and stronger, so we must keep it in mind, and we must study hard so that we can do the same things to country in the future.

At my school, we have helda lot ofsocial practice activities. Last month, I went to the Science and Technology Museum with my classmates.
The Science and Technology Museum isa wonderful place foryoung people to learn.I visited the natural worldand found something new. It was amazing. Besides, I did a lot of physics experimentsby myself. They help me to put what I have learned into practice. I saw a lot of interesting things in the museum, too. I learned a lot.
I was pretty excited and happyat that time. In my opinion, it isa good wayfor us to learn something usefulout of the booksin museums.

This week our school organized an activity of working in New Century Children’s Store and I think I’ve gained a lot from this experience .Before I took part in this activity , I knew nothing about what work really meant . I believed that my parents should do everything for me though they have to work hard to support the family . I even thought they were leading an easier life than me , as I had to learn so many subjects . This week I have experienced working as a shop assistant , which proved no easy job . After a day’s work , I often went back home , tired . At the discussion held this afternoon, we agreed that it was not easy for our parents to bring us up , and we should share some housework with them when possible.
