大学英语作文1

How time flies! It has been about two years since I came to the University of Education. Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

University is not only a place where you can learn something useful from textbooks, but also a place where you can improve your ability to communicate with others.

During the year university study, I can not only acquire a lot of book learning, but also foster various abilities. All types of extracurricular activities such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and traveling provide opportunities to make friends, many of these friendships may last a long time. I like talking and playing with others, so I own many friends. Sometimes I feel lonely, angry and also homesick. But fortunately I own these good friends. They helped me spend these sad days. I find words cannot express my sincere thanks to them. But I know when they need help; I will do everything that I can do to help those who helped me before.

I like going to the library where you can find these words on the wall: "Knowledge is power." and "Keep silence!" after class every day. Because I know that we must learn every day. I think the life in university of Education is full of freedom, but I never waste time. Life is not easy

for everybody, especially for those who hopes to lead a happy life”, a famous lady once said. That is to say, you have to try your best to learn and to pass exams in order to make your life become better and better with time going on. So I never give up learning even go to the college.

Sometimes I also want to own more free time to do my own things. But we have too many classes. So I think life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected. The teaching method is boring; instead of lecturing, some teachers just "read" lessons. I hate it. I want to more free time in class.

During the time I spend at the University of Education, I not only develops my intellectual abilities, I also develop social skills as well as knowledge and wisdom necessary for choosing a future career.

In short, we should value our life in the University of Education. Although there are many things lacking, the four years in the university is a worthwhile period in our whole lifetime.

As a senior high school student I am all the time weighed down with an seemingly endless series of exams and can hardly take a rest, let alone read extracurricular books, seeing that I am really pressed for time in preparing for the upcoming "Big Exam." Therefore, I can't say I had any deep impression of a certain book until a few days ago. It was during the Spring Recess that I went alone to school to get some study done. There, I met by chance an alumna studying in college. Being always nervous and worried about the coming College Entrance Exam, I was rather eager to get some information on how to use the limited time wisely and stop worrying. So I asked for advice based on experience. After realizing my trouble, she fetched me a book by the name of "studying and Exams" by way of an answer. Before I ever read the book I was quite poor at arranging my study scheme and could not make the of the time available. So the time I spent and the result I got were not always proportional. Under such circumstances I never did a good job the academic side in the pursuit of knowledge during the past years. It was really regretful that after so many years of studying I didn't even know a bit about the right way to study. And all this had kept bothering me. But my misgivings were all dispelled the time I finished reading this book. Under the proper guidance of the book I now find myself studying with ease and more efficiently. All I can say is that the power of the book is truly amazing. In other words, "studying and exams" is indeed the most influential book in my life.

Mothers Who Work Outside the Home

employed women with infant children often face a dilemma of whether to keep working or to quit to take care of their infants. though the fact that married women work outside the home has become a social trend, people still epect mothers to stay home until their children are two or three years old. but, in my opinion, its unfair and impractical to deprive mothers of their right to keep working only for the reason of child-care.

from the view-point of feminism, women also need a sense of achievement as men do. employed women often find it difficult to give up the chance of self-fulfillment and go back home to play the traditional role. since the age of confining women to the household has passed, we should not neglect mothers desire to seek further accomplishments outside the home.

besides, taking care of children is both parents responsibility rather than only mothers, since children belong to both father and mother. thus, its unreasonable to ask mothers to give up their jobs for child-care which is also fathers duty.

practically speaking, working mothers can help improve family finances. though there will be etra epenses for child-care service at the same time, employed mothers can ensure a steady income to help support the family. therefore, mothers working outside is advantageous to the family, especially to those low-income ones.

in brief, to epect mothers to put child-care before everything is not feasible in todays society. only if fathers and mothers cooperate can the problem of child-care be solved.
